Welcome to my web site. As a freelance drummer I have had the opportunity to play with some great musicians at wonderful venues in the UK and abroad. Opening for Elvin Jones at Ronnie Scotts was a particular memorable gig - he was awesome, and the bonus for me was Pat La Barberra being in the band; I was able to talk about his time playing tenor with the Buddy Rich Big Band. Depping for drummer Nick Millward has had me playing with Kenny Ball in the UK and Germany, including some gigs with Chris Barber and Acker Bilk - these bands still have an amazing following. The 'Green Troman Street' trio, with pianist Steve Tromans, bassist Mike Green and myself, are signed with the Next Step Record Label who released our debut album 'Green Troman Street'. We have just completed a second CD and hope to have that released soon. Another album that has been recently released is with the jazz violinist Ralph Allin. This is Ralph's second CD with his Quartet and is a live recording from the CBSO centre in Birmingham. I have been with Ralph's quartet for the past five years during which time we have had some great gigs; The Sony Awards, concerts at the Symphony Hall, working with celebrities like Angela Rippon, Tony Blackburn, David Jacobs and playing live on Radio two’s Friday Night is Music Night.
I am also fortunate
to play with many other great contemporaries including vocalist Roy Forbes,
pianists Al Gurr and Graham Dent, bass players Roger Innis, Tom Hill and
Bill Coleman, saxophonists Andy Shillingford and Ian Hill. |
